Hi everyone. I just recently received my DIY kit and have been playing around with the E juice calculater spreadsheet from the ECF forums. It is an awesome spreadsheet but I'm a little thrown off about the water section (which is a protected cell and I cannot modify.

In my order I got a PG base (36 mg, being a first timer I didn't want to get a high nic concentration until I have more experience) and a bottle of VG to cut with. My question is I keep reading about people adding water or PGA when cutting with VG. Is this necessary? Can someone tell me what the purpose of this would be? Currently I have no distilled water in the house (I'm assuming that's what I should use) so then I got to wondering if tap water would be ok to use if it is even necessary.

Thanks for the help everyone! Can't wait to get to mixing!

I have read quite a few posts about mixing, vaping, etc., and I have yet to see anyone mention the use of USP Glycerin based NIC juice, flavored with well whatever you choose, and thinned with USP Aqueous Glycerin, (a mixture of USP Glycerin and < 5% Deionized Sterile Water).

You can add 2% by volume 200 Proof Ethanol, AKA EverClear, or USP Alcohol, which is the cleanest, and is obtainable in some states from you local pharmacies. This added produces a WOW throat hit which is usually less than 5 drops per 10 ML of total liquid.

I have been using the above ingredients in my juice, and WOW the vapor is so A*W*E*S*O*M*E* !

The USP Glycerin and about the best VG Nic juice I have tried is available from Xtreme Vaping, he is great to deal with and very reasonable in pricing and ships very fast.

The Deionized Sterile water can usually be purchased from any pharmacy, and I am sure from many sources on line.

Naturally if you do not want so much vapor (now who wouldn't want awesome vapor) you can cut the VG based nic juice with PG, or PEG 400.

Conclusion: VG based NIC juices produce the most AWESOME vapor, but are usually a bit thicker, and some have mentioned need a bit more flavor compared to PG, PEG 400 based mixes.

For me, after being a cigar smoker, I go the way of the VG, as I am getting the intense Vapor I crave, and as far as flavor, Root Beer Float, or Cola, or some good Cappuccino!

I will be reviewing some Cohiba Cigar flavored Nic juice this weekend, and will post my findings.

BTW: here is a pretty nice E Juice DIY caculator in XLS (Excel) format:Attachment 249

Happy Vaping to all!
