V3 Tip for perfect button alignment

First let me say that my new V3 is my favorite vape of all. As has been mentioned by several others here there seems to be an issue getting everything aligned after a battery change. After several hours of toying with parts I have finally found the perfect combination that never fails.

First thing is to remove the button from the tube.

Next you need to remove the screw and washers (metal washers)

Now put everything back together with one difference. Use two of the larger washers and don't put back the lock washer. This will keep all of the parts perfectly aligned. No more plastic piece being off center and not allowing the button to be pushed.

Another big tip is to use the Medium spring. It fits into the plastic much better and doesn't fall out every time you take the button off.

I have done this to all of my V3's with consistent success for a few days now. By the way..... This fix works on both the two 3v batteries as well as the 17670 single battery.

Hi! I'm Willow, and I quit smoking analogs Memorial Day Weekend, '09.

I started with a spamming brand with analogs at the same time for about 3 weeks, quit the analogs, moved on to a generic 510 for a while, and got completely sick of constant battery charges and changes.

I looked into a bunch of the available mods, made one of my own, researched and researched, and finally settled on Pure Smoker. Why?

Well, they were the first business, to actually treat their operation like a real business, and not a hobby. That showed in everything from their site, to pre-orders, to shipping, to customer service.

Their products are well thought out, well made, and durable. Now they're simply beautiful as well.

I own a Prodigy V1, a Protege, a USB pass through, and I got my V3 this afternoon. I signed up for the forums for the sole purpose of saying thank you to everyone at PS for always making shopping with you such a pleasant experience, and to tell YOU the consumer, if you're wavering? Don't. You won't regret choosing this company, regardless of the product you decide on. They are simply amazing.

Thanks PS! I've been a customer for over a year, and not going anywhere. :D

I'm moving from the Chinese e-smokes to the V3. Can someone give me a clue as to which atty's to use? I know there's personal preference, etc. I enjoy the throat hit more than anything. I'm hoping to go the route of fewest blown atty's until I get a clue as to what I'm doing, which means the 3.7v batteris. Also, is there a discount for bulk ordering atty's?

I have been trying to buy Noalox and no one here on Long Island knows what I am talking about. I went to my local hardware store and they could not help. I went to Home Depot and the same thing. Would have tried Lowes but I do not have one near me.

Does anyone know where to buy Noalox. Is it maybe under a different name.

Thanks,

I don't know if this goes here, or the V3 forum, but it's a question, so I picked here.

Tonight, my button won't depress fully. It's not making contact, at all, and there's an obvious gap where the button is not making flush contact (face-to-face) with the body. Pressed as far down as it will go, you can slip four PS business cards in between the button and the body. (Using a V3 w/ the 17670 batt) That's happened once before, and I fiddled with it until it started working again, but I couldn't tell you what the magic bullet was before. Nor can I find it again. :(

Here's what I have tried:
* putting in a different battery (the ones that shipped w/ the device aren't all uniform, and one is a problem child sometimes) - that didn't work
* double-checked the spring seating and condition - both fine, also didn't fix it
* checked/cleaned/noalox'd the threads - wasn't the problem
* fiddled a bit w/ the screw, thinking perhaps that was the problem - didn't help
* searched the archives for an answer - I'm either not using the right phrases, or it's not in there, could be either

Taking off the adapter, the button will then depress fully, so it seems there's something snagging it, or catching it, but I can't visually identify what component is doing it. Is this something w/ the thick washer? Could I have dinked it out of alignment somehow? Anybody run into this, who's willing to walk me through correcting it?

TIA
