At Michaels Craft store buy a small bottle of Glycerin in the cake decorating department. Using a smaller bottle - try doing a 1-3 or 1-4 mix and see what that tastes like first. Some Michael's also carry Loranns - but do not use anything that has oil in it - the fruits are ok - as are butterscotch, caramel and several others. It will say oil in the ingredients. They are called flavoring oils - but not all of them have oil in them. Very inexpensive too

So the fruit flavored ones are ok to have oil in them or stay away from the oils period?
The glycerin comes in 2 forms? PG and VG?

It's probably best to stay away from the oils altogether, but that will end up being trial and error. You "might" use one with oil but use some pure grain alcohol (not rubbing alcohol) in it first to dissolve the oil before mixing with something else. The glycerin in the cake and candy supplies will be vegetable glycerin - VG, not PG. Most likely, it will be a 2-ounce bottle, name brand Wilton's, with at least partially purple writing. Mine came from Hobby Lobby because it's closer than Michaels, but it's the same stuff. My local Michael's and Hobby Lobby do have quite a few Lorann's flavorings. Walmart may, depending on your store, have them in both the crafts section and the grocery section with the cake stuff or maybe even with the candy. I've seen them in all 3 places in Wallie World. Near the candy, they were actually hanging there kinda out of place as an impulse buy. Take my comments with a grain of salt. Sonya is the resident mixing expert, and I have some mixing materials but have rarely used them.
Sonya makes great mixes. I have some that she was kind enough to send me. Sorry, Sonya, that I haven't said much about your mixtures, but my taste buds have been firing about a 1.5 out of 10 lately for some reason, so nothing is tasting very strong right now.
