i agree with your assessment here, except that my sense is that far too many newbies and not -so-newbies jump on the forums and the vapor webcasts doing their version of "research" which doesn't amount to much beyond listening to an uninformed or mildly informed member of the community, which, unfortunately i fear there are more of than not. lurkers are the best in my opinion, because they read, digest information, read some more, look elsewhere, read again, tinker if need be, and then eventually, if ever, post. but many will just grab a 510 then a mod, juice from three different vendors, batteries from another, and then they know it all. of all the threads on this forum, there's probably under 20 original posts or comments. no, i haven't counted, but i've read every last post on here and see the same concerns resurface, reframed, repackaged, replayed, again and again. the search function is a simple one and it works, but many don't use it. new threads are started and new posts within a thread that already addressed that post are restated again and again. truth be told, there a lot of knowledgeable members in the community, and ps has no shortage of them on staff and here in their forum. all of this is to say that it is easy and i fear most common for newbies in particular to jump in and see a post that goes unchallenged and untested and mistake that for a teachable moment, a research question answered, empirical evidence found. too many posts that should be ignored, for their ignorance, their ability to display any level of useful information, knowledge, or purposefulness, aren't. dickw is one of the minority who serves as a check and balance on this forum. with every new release of a puresmoker product comes new members to the forum, some veterans, some newbies, some in-between. there is so much to learn that perhaps some turn into entertainers and others posture and position themselves as experts, but in fact there are some experts here and some of them are very entertaining too! this forum, of which dickw is an exemplar, is a helpful and responsive place to figure out all kinds of things related to puresmoker products in particular and vaping more generally. it's not so much that there is or should be a hierarchy, but it is important and ultimately to everyone's benefit that they take the time and do the real research and ask questions respectfully and make posts and begin threads and enter into the community as someone willing to learn and someone willing to give back and help others. at the same time i see it as vitally important to those lurking and "learning" from the posts that go unchecked and the video monologues on youtube to dig a bit deeper, invest a little more energy and time in that which is ultimately saving your life, and get real information from members and mediums that build this community up constantly and consistently. that's about 22 cents worth, but it's still my 2.
