I do the same thing. My wife once said to me "You end up smoking more on that than you do a regular cigarette". I had to explain to her why and that taking 10-15 hits of a real cigarette once every hour isn't much different than taking 10-15 hits off my PV over the course of an hour. In fact the other day she looked over at from the couch and saw me taking a hit and said "why don't you just quit all together, I rarely ever see you use that thing.", when in fact I haven't changed my PV habits (hobby) one bit. It feels good knowing that I am bothering my family with bad smells and nasty chemicals anymore.
On a side note, every once in while I do have to get out my back-up after a big meal or when I am in a stressful mood. It makes chain vaping do-able.
First, unless I have completely missed something *all* PVs run on batteries, even the Ace, unless you're using a passthru or a Dremel mod. So, wha--? What?
Second, they are designed... to puff on. Specifically. There really is no other use for these things, unless maybe as excellent decorative accents around the house. But even that's secondary (and b/c I always forget where I set it). So, anyway, although I may not be spooled up enough on juice blends, or on 6V vaping to feel comfortable chiming in on those discussions, I do feel comfortable enough drawing on my experience with machining and conduction to go out on a limb and say this is, at best, wildly inaccurate. Wildly.
How would you destroy it by using it? There's simply nothing that would make that make sense. The issue of the atty overheating isn't going to go away on an Ace. Those attys (being the same thing, and all) are still going to get hot. They have the same physical limits, same restrictions, same laws of physics on an Ace as they do on any other mod. A Prodigy or an ICON is not a fragile, delicate Special Occasion Only device that's meant to crap out after a few uses. These things are built to last, with mechanical functionality, and they are, if anything, limited only by the weaknesses of the atomizers and batteries, themselves, both of which have been addressed.
I don't get that, and I would hate to see someone veer away from a Prodigy for fear that heavy use would destroy it. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Am I the only person who is starting to believe that maybe the Genius was sent here by someone to intentionally try to sabotage PS business by confusing and scaring new people? I just remember how much I enjoyed this place before he mysteriously appeared.
I'm curios, what does it take to get someone banned from the forum? Would a majority vote be good enough? How many times is someone allowed to post false information before it becomes unacceptable? Just curious.

Yeah this just isn't true, you might blow an Atty, but you won't "destroy" a V3, i vape almost constantly on an 801 V3, and did for almost a year on the V1 (i burnt the switch out because i stuffed it between my couch cushions and activated it without noticing, so yeah, its out of commission for now), no destruction or anything of the sort, these devices are as solid as they get. An Ace sure you can puff puff puff, and of course it won't get as hot as fast or as often, cause you are getting a lot lower voltage, and thus a lot less vapor IMHO.
Edited for this: I understand that people may have mis-understood the point you were tyring to get across, i would suggest being more careful when trying to compare 2 products in the future.
Just my 2 cents.
